Fifteen but don’t have a boyfriend

Hi! I’m a fifteen-year-old girl, and I’ve never had a boyfriend. I don’t know if I should be ashamed of this, or proud of it, or what? I mean, most people of my age would think that someone who has never had a boyfriend is either too ugly, too nerdy or just unpopular. I don’t think I’m ugly, I have lots of friends and a nice personality, I do well at school and have no reason to be ashamed of myself. It just seems that no one is interested in me! I’m not in the most popular crowd, but none of the boys are either. The boys only run after the most popular girls. Is it wrong of me to wait for the right one? And how do you actually find the right one?

Lots of people haven’t had a boyfriend (or girlfriend) when they are fifteen, and you don’t need to be ashamed of it. It’s great that you have lots of friends and that you are satisfied with who you are and what you do.

It isn’t always easy to know what you should do in order to be popular with the boys, and sometimes they give more attention to girls they actually wouldn’t like to date. Anyway, it would be wrong of you to try to change in order to be popular. The most important thing you can do is to be good at being yourself. Boys like girls who dare to be themselves, girls who are real and relaxed. If none of the boys you are around like you as you are, then none of them are the right ones for you.

It’s important to spend enough time on finding the right one, don’t just choose the first one who will have you because you want to date so much. You are valuable, and worth having someone who really likes you for who you are, so keep yourself from having a boyfriend who just wants something else.

How do I find that special person?

The right person

Wait for me!

How can a couple know if they are a good match?

Best wishes
